Out of the hidden corners of the fucked real OC is where they can be found. Bike rides, bike shops, Kinkos... Reminding us of the mid 90's classics but not lacking raw emotion and intensity. Arches is the perfect mix of melodic and often times abrasive sounds jumping back and forth at the pace of a heartbeat.insanity as always. Crucial screams... think Dead Seraphim or Jeromes Dream, but in 2007.
Hand screened cover and insert. Puke green vinyl.
Loma Prieta Our LP is your EP 12 inch $5.00
Loma Prieta sounds like super intense screamo. While they are pretty, there's this feeling that your speakers are slowly moving towards you and when they reach you, their three guitar assault will sink deep into your hide. If you were to put Neil Perry, She Notes the Chariots and The Number Twelve Looks Like You (minus the metal) into a cage for a full year, the end result's offspring would speak in the melody and rhythm that Loma Prieta does.
Loma Prieta Matrimony 7 inch $4.00

Recorded at Math Lab Audio in Oakland, CA by Shawn Porter (xiu xiu, clip'd beaks, jim yoshii pileup). For fans of La Quiete, Clikatat Ikatowi, and Pinback.

The Depression Party EP Compact Disc $5.00
Everyone knows that it's a cold world, and these guys are certainly not the first one's to point that out. But with a little bit of laughter it ain't so bad. They are The Depression Party: Un-poetic and blunt, that's the way they like it. One tends to find warmth and optimism through the Depression Party’s themes and tones. Piercing melodies of over-indulgence, guilt, geo-politics and nihilism.
Milo Fairweather is the name of a project born out of a never ending stream of songs which were less suited to that of singer/songwriter Daniel Olivas' rock band, Dronen. While the band was on hiatus in early 2005, Daniel decided to keep busy by working on song ideas that he felt were not Dronen material. These were songs that were never meant to be played loudly on a stage at one of the local venues that the band frequented. These felt more intimate, and although Daniel believed they possessed less potential for commercial acceptance, he thought it would be a good idea to go ahead and record a few to get a feel for what he could do with them. With help from a few local drummers (and a trumpet player), Daniel completed his first group of recordings and set out to put together a live band (which is still rehearsing its way up to par). Milo Fairweather was the name of a character in a story that was never written, and so Daniel thought it would be fun to give this character life in the form of music. Listen to some songs at: .

The Anarchist Cafe is such a beautiful event because it is based on participation. There is no one group of people organizing the whole a-cafe, but individual people who take initiative to bring something to contribute to the event. What skills do you have? The Green Party is not just an electoral political party, but a community of activists working locally to bring about progressive social and political change.
